What is the Science Behind Climate Change?
Objective
At the end of this section the students will be able to explain the mechanisms that are causing global climate change.
Task #1 -An Inconvenient Truth
The movie the Inconvenient Truth (in which you will find the movie trailer below) is an excellent introduction to climate change. It is clear and concise with the science, history, effects, policy and future. The students will watch the movie and use the following worksheet to help them focus on content. The movie is approximately 100 minutes long, so it should take about 2 class periods to watch. On the third class period the students will get into goups of 4-5 and use their worksheets to discuss what they found most interesting.
Task #2- Students will define the following terms on this vocabulary sheet.
